School Structure

Mrs. Holly Leach, M.Ed., completed her 20th year as Head of School. Previously, she enjoyed 12 years of leading Christian K-12 schools in Oregon and Washington.  Since 2000, under her leadership, the school has grown from 325 to over 1,000 students. Many vibrant programs were added such as the Early Learning Center, Summer Camp, School of Arts and Enrichment, engineering programs, and expansive Fine Arts program, and the Thrive tutoring program. The school campus grew from rented industrial space to a brand new 162,000 square foot, 33-acre complex overlooking the Cascade Mountains and Puget Sound. In 2011, Mrs. Leach was awarded “Best Principal in Western Washington” by Evening Magazine and the City of Everett’s “Mother of the Year” award in 2014. During her tenure, NCA was named by the U.S. Department of Education as an Exemplary High Performing National Blue Ribbon School in 2019.

Academy Administration

The Academy Administration consists of the Superintendent, Director of Early Learning Center, and three Division Principals for K-2nd, 3rd-5th, and Middle School. The Academy administrators oversee the day-to-day operations of the school which include staff supervision, policy implementation, academics, spiritual oversight, program development, instructional supervision, and operational functions. The Superintendent reports to the senior pastor of Northshore Christian Church and the Chairman of the School Board. The Superintendent is a non-voting member of the School Board and is part of the Executive Team at Northshore Christian Church.

School Board Committee

The purpose of the School Board Chair is to make broad-based school policy decisions regarding the school.  The committee consists of 2 church elders, NCA parents who are also members of Northshore Christian Church, and other NCC participating members who have experience in education. The Board Chair reports to the church Elder Board.

Elder Board

Northshore Christian Academy is a ministry of Northshore Christian Church (NCC).  As such, the school is accountable to the leadership of the church, which is the Elder Board.  The Elder Board consists of 5 to 10 nominated NCC Members, including the Senior Pastor. The Elder Board has delegated the school oversight and policy-making decisions to the School Board Committee.
