Beginning Violin Classes

Taught by Mrs. Michelle Rhee

 The violin group class is designed for beginning violin players that would like to experience how to play the violin in a group setting. It advantages students with learning the instrument with their peers with an experienced instructor in a friendly and fun environment. Students will learn how to hold the instrument properly, how to use the bow to create a beautiful tone, learn basic rhythms and short songs. Music books will be provided. Students will need to supply their own violin. 

Beginning Ukulele Class

Taught by Jazmine Abramson

Students will come out of this class feeling confident that they can learn to play an instrument quickly and go on to pick up other instruments to expand their musical horizons.

History Lessons on Ukuleles
Part of the Ukulele
How to care for your Ukulele
Music Sheets and Chord Charts
Learn Songs from different genres like Christian. Hawaiian, and appropriate Pop songs
Play basic chords
Learn how to strum
Learn how to read tablature
some singing
some drumming on different instruments provided by the teacher

Beginning Piano Classes

Taught by Mrs. Kim Echols

In each piano/keyboard class students will learn to read and write music, learn to play numerous songs, experience ensemble playing, ear training, music theory, fun musical games and rhythm and movement activities. Your children will love to come to piano lessons! Please come to the last class of the session for a mini-recital to applaud your child’s accomplishments!

Intermediate Piano Classes

Taught by Mrs. Kim Echols

Intermediate Piano is for students with some experience or who have taken the Beginning Piano Class and have been recommended to move onto the Intermediate class. Students will continue to explore intermediate piano technique, music theory, and performance with a recital given at the end of the session.
This session will begin to build confidence in what they have learned
and how to perform in front of an audience. 

Vocal Classes

Taught by Ms. Melissa Fankhauser

Taught by Ms. Melissa Fankhauser

This is an opportunity to strengthen the singing techniques and gain confidence in performing in front of others. They will learn about proper breathing, vowel shaping, phrasing and diaphragm support. Students will focus on improving voice and musicianship through vocal exercises, Correggio, ear training and singing in rounds.
