Welcome to Northshore Christian Academy's Early Learning Preschool program, where children grow in confidence, curiosity, and a love for learning. Through hands-on discovery, creative play, and meaningful experiences, our preschoolers develop the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual foundations that prepare them for future success.
Each day, children strengthen early literacy and math skills, build fine and gross motor development, and explore art, science, music, and introductory Spanish in fun and engaging ways. Opportunities to serve as classroom helpers encourage responsibility, confidence, and leadership, while cooperative play helps children develop independence, kindness, and strong friendships. Most importantly, every day is centered on God's love as children learn about Jesus and discover the joy of living out His truth in all they do.
Self-contained.
18:2 One Teacher and one Classroom Aide.

Children will be taught Biblical concepts and stories and memorize Bible verses that will teach them godly character qualities and Biblical facts. They will practice applying these qualities in their daily life including opportunities for serving others. Children look to the example of Staff Members with a relationship with God. This will allow children to develop their own relationship with the Lord through daily prayer and worship.
Children are active participants in chapel each week, singing and praising God. They also enjoy learning more about Him and His Word from EL staff or guest speakers. A different character quality (Patience, Kindness, Honesty, etc.) is taught monthly. Parents are always welcome to attend.
Preschool teachers use Alphabet Stories to introduce letter and letter sound recognition using stories, songs, kinesthetic activities, and crafts.
Math Their Way Curriculum is a manipulative-based program, which teaches patterning, sorting, and classification through hands-on learning.
Our monthly themes allow children to explore the world around them, creating rich experiences and introductions beyond their own front door, through stories, crafts, songs, and kinesthetic learning.

Art experiences are many and varied to encourage children to explore both self-directed and teacher-directed projects.
We have dedicated music lessons each week in our classes, taught by our very own NCA Music Teacher. Music and movement are incorporated every day during Circle Time, transitions, and other learning times.
Children practice recognizing their names with capital letters using games and activities to develop fine motor skills.
Community helper's week, Christmas concert, EL Mission project, Moments with Mom, Walk-a-Thon, and several class parties throughout the year.
