NCA ALUMNI VISITS & SUCCESSES

NCA alumni stop by NCA frequently. We love to see them and celebrate their success in advanced education, leadership experiences, athletic, and fine arts accomplishments.  All private and public high school principals report our students are well prepared for rigorous academics, leadership roles and extra-curricular participation.  They love our grads! More than 850 students have graduated from 8th grade at NCA in our short history. Graduates have gone on to attend many Washington universities: UW, WSU, WWU, Whitworth, SPU, SU, NWU, and others including Johns Hopkins, Duke, Notre Dame, Westmont, Biola, Asuza, U of Florida, Liberty, Utah State, and Wheaton. Our alumni are majoring in engineering, computer science, teaching, graphic design, international business, theology, journalism, medicine, math, English literature, fine arts and counseling (read about some of our Alumni below). Many are making a difference in those fields and in our world.  We pray that NCA’s influence follows each student to college and beyond!

HISTORY OF NORTHSHORE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY

During the spring of 1995, Northshore Christian Church’s leadership investigated the need for a Christian school in the South Everett area. After studying the need, the church decided to start an elementary school in the fall of 1995. Northshore Christian Academy opened with 37 students in K-3rd grades. The school was located in the 80th street temporary church location.

Northshore Christian Academy has experienced rapid growth since its inception in 1995. During this time, Northshore Christian Academy has been one of the fastest-growing schools in Snohomish County. The staff, parents, and church have created a strong, dynamic school – even while housed in temporary facilities and while experiencing growing pains as the organization re-evaluated and fine-tuned its mission and long-range plan.

In the fall of 1996, the school opened for a second year with almost 100 students in Preschool through 4th grades. In the fall of 1997, the third year of school began with 200 students. The school expanded to another leased warehouse in the fall of 1998.

In the fall of 2000, over 300 students began school, with seven classrooms housed in our current campus and the other eleven housed in the 75th street campus warehouse. Also in 2000, the school focused on the middle school, as it became an established program at NCA, serving 6th – 8th-grade students. In 2001, over 375 students enrolled and we have sustained this enrollment and more every year since.

After nine years in temporary locations and buildings, our dream for one campus was realized, as the last of our classrooms moved into our current K-5th Grade building in August, 2003.

In 2011, the Olympic Pavilion was completed and the Cascade Pavilion was completed in 2017. These buildings provide 12 Middle School Classrooms (6th, 7th & 8th Grade), a music room, a science lab, a robotics room, a Spanish room, a large lunchroom, and Administrative Offices.

Currently, we serve over 880 students in K-8, plus over 110 students in our licensed Early Learning (Pre-Kindergarten, Preschool, and Toddlers), with approximately 150 faculty and staff.
