MEET YOUR COACHES

I have 14 years as a youth coach in various sports, including soccer and boys baseball.

As a youth, I had formal experience in the following sports:

Soccer – 17 years

Swim -7 years

Crew – 6 years

Softball – 4 years

I also continue to participate recreationally in Tennis, Golf, and distance running.

I choose to coach youth sports because I believe it's a unique and powerful way to help children grow in confidence, character, and faith. Through athletics, kids learn to strive for excellence—not for personal glory, but as a way to honor God with the abilities He’s given them, reflecting the biblical principle of doing all things as unto the Lord (Colossians 3:23). I want young athletes to see competition as a healthy environment where effort matters more than outcome, and where their identity in Christ is strengthened by the team.

I wanted to become a coach because I’ve seen how many parents today, often due to demanding schedules and life responsibilities, are unable to be as involved in their children’s lives as they desire. I feel called to stand in that gap—not to take the place of parents, but to serve both them and their children in a Christ-centered way. I want to be a steady, godly presence for young athletes, encouraging them in their growth, not just in skill, but in character and in their identity in Christ. I also hope to support parents by being someone they can trust to invest spiritually and emotionally in their child’s development. Coaching gives me the opportunity to reflect Christ’s love, build community, and walk alongside families in a way that honors God and strengthens the next generation.

You can find me attending the many sports of my kids, cheering on the Padres, or outside enjoying God’s Creation!

Soccer has been a passion of mine from the age of 6 all the way into adulthood. I have played club teams, my high school team, my college intramural league, as well as adult soccer leagues for many years! I have also coached for 4 years with i9 sports and the Lake Stevens Soccer Club. Sports have always been important to me, being part of a team can help our young people work together in an environment where they grow not only in game play and skill development, but we also encourage, support, forgive, and many other beautiful lifelong virtues that have an impact on them for years to come.  It is an honor and a privilege to be part of these athletes’ lives and help them find confidence in themselves on and off the field. I also enjoy singing, sewing, cooking, roller skating, and showing my 3 Newfoundlands in AKC conformation!
