what is Walk-a-thon?

We value our traditions! One of our most exciting and longest running traditions at Northshore is our annual Walk-A-Thon. For many years, our school community has rallied around this exciting spring fundraiser that is one of our two major annual fundraisers that raise significant financial resources for strategic initiatives that benefit every student on our campus.

The program begins in late April and culminates in June with our exciting school-wide Walk-A-Thon Celebration Event Day – a celebration of the year for all to attend! What happens leading up to the event, however, is what sets it apart! Each year’s theme shares a message of something foundational NCA message and points to our commitment to a Christ-centered education.

As a result, our school community has benefitted tremendously from donor-funded projects such as the new sports court, our huge playground structures, classroom Promethean boards, S.T.E.A.M. program enhancements, safety & security upgrades and so much more. Careful and intentional stewardship of donated funds has contributed to an educational experience like none other.

Thank you for your incredible support and generosity in helping us raise $202,000 toward a full-size school bus, a covered structure, and first-year operational costs!

Your prayers, dedication, and outstanding generosity made this year's Walk-A-Thon a monumental success. We are grateful to everyone who came out to celebrate with us—the bubble foam, tailgating, and school spirit were truly through the roof!

At Northshore Christian Academy, we filter all learning through a Biblical worldview that recognizes Christ as Creator and Lord. We endeavor to train students spiritually, academically, and personally, integrating faith and learning as we educate and equip the whole child to impact a changing world for the glory of God. The Walk-A-Thon plays a vital role in helping us prayerfully and strategically invest in goals and initiatives that benefit every NCA student. Your generosity helps provide resources and opportunities that strengthen our ability to nurture students in their faith, academics, character, and leadership as they grow into the individuals God has called them to be.
