6th – 8th Grade
2020 Track season has been canceled, we look forward to 2021.
Head coach will be Daniel Clements, Daniel comes with experience in coaching track and field and Cross Country. A Southern California native, Daniel ran cross country/track and field for both high school and college. While attending Taft High School, UCLA, and Cal State Northridge, Daniel specialized in mid-distance events (800m, 1600m, 3200m) and cross country. As a shy high school kid, both sports provided a great space to build confidence and set goals. Some achievements include LA City Cross Country Champion (2000), All-Big West Honors (2003), West Regional NCAA D1 Invitee (800m, 2003). We are thrilled to have him on board to work with your students!
We are still looking for parent volunteers and assistant coaches for meets and practices.
This is the only way for this program to be successful with the number of students who participate. We would love your help!
All 7/8th grade track will practice at NCA and the majority of time at Evergreen Middle School (parent drivers are needed) Our 5/6th grade track program will also be practicing here at NCA.
Practices will run from 3:30-5:15 pm 3-4 days a week. I will be emailing out the practice schedule after registration closes.
Uniforms are provided by NCA, athletes will need proper shoes, and the coach will go over this also.
We will have a mandatory parent meeting the first day of practice at 5:00 pm (location to come soon) All athletes must have a sports physical form, concussion form, athlete code of conduct and parent code of conduct to participate and have the forms attached turned in by the first day of practice. Forms can be turned in at the parent meeting or the middle school office. To participate and have the forms attached turned in by the first day of practice.
