Our entire Admissions team is working remotely, and our students are still learning and moving forward towards their next grade level. 5th & 6th Grade

Track will begin April 13th– Registration opens March 9th.  We have 35 open spots for 5/6th grade students. Please register early, spots fill up very quickly.

Head coaches will be Donna and Christ Beard, Donna has been a long-time coach of Gator track with two “lifer” students having graduated from NCA.  She was an NAIA All-American at Azusa Pacific University and competed at the US National Championships after graduation.  Chris has been coaching at Kamiak High for the last 7 years with several All-State athletes and a State Champion in the process.  He was an NCAA All-American thrower at Occidental College.  Assisting will be Corey Gunnerson whose son, Garrett is a 6th grader. This is Corey’s second year with the program!

We are looking for parent volunteers and assistant coaches for meets and practices. This is the only way for this program to be successful with the number of students who participate. We would love your help!

All 5/6 grades will practice here on the NCA campus. Some of that time will be shared with the 7/8th grade track as well. 

Track season will be April 13th– through the end of May.

Practices will run from 3:30-5:00 pm 3-4 days a week.  I will be emailing out the practice schedule after registration closes. 

Meet dates are: 4/25, 5/2, 5/9, 5/16 and 5/19 (5/19 excused school day but all homework is still to be turned in) 

Uniforms are provided by NCA, athletes will need proper shoes, coaches will go over gear at the parent meeting.

We will have a mandatory parent meeting the first day of practice at 5:00 pm (location to come soon)

All athletes must have a sports physical to participate and have the forms attached turned in by the first day of practice, April 13th. Forms can be turned in at the parent meeting or the middle school office.

7th & 8th Grade

Track will begin April 13th– Registration opens March 9th

Head coach will be Daniel Clements, Daniel comes with experience in coaching track and field and Cross Country. A Southern California native, Daniel ran cross country/track and field for both high school and college. While attending Taft High School, UCLA, and Cal State Northridge, Daniel specialized in mid-distance events (800m, 1600m, 3200m) and cross country. As a shy high school kid, both sports provided a great space to build confidence and set goals. Some achievements include LA City Cross Country Champion (2000), All-Big West Honors (2003), West Regional NCAA D1 Invitee (800m, 2003).  We are thrilled to have him on board to work with your students!

All 7/8th grade track will practice at NCA and the majority of time at Evergreen Middle School (parent drivers are needed) Our 5/6th grade track program will also be practicing here at NCA.

Track season will be April 13th-June 4th (followed by a team banquet)

Practices will run from 3:30-5:15 pm 3-4 days a week. I will be emailing out the practice schedule after registration closes.

Meet dates are:

April 29th, May 6, May 13th, May 20th and May 27th with prelims and finals June 2nd and 4th.   (this may change a little)

Uniforms are provided by NCA, athletes will need proper shoes, and the coach will go over this also.
