Let the Summer begin!
The sun is finally coming out, and here in Everett, we’re remembering how blue the sky is!
With so much excitement for summer, we are thrilled to announce the return of our Summer Adventures Camp! This year, we're preparing for a summer full of exploration, learning, and unforgettable memories.
With ten action-packed weeks of camp to choose from, campers will dive into hands-on activities and experience the joy of summer away from screens and into nature. Our program is the perfect solution to keep your kids actively learning and expanding their horizons.
Benefits of our Summer Adventure Camp
Summer camps have a lot of obvious benefits. You make new friends, soak up that good old vitamin D, and have fun! But there are so many great perks of our Summer Adventure Camp that many parents don't know about. Designed with purpose, our program helps campers build self-esteem, increase social and academic skills, and develop a deeper appreciation for the natural world. These are the benefits that go beyond the surface and make a lasting impact.
1. Self-Esteem and Social Skills
Our camp creates the ideal environment for kids to try new things and gain confidence. Whether they’re picking up a new skill in arts and crafts, trying a new sport, or diving into one of our outdoor adventures, stepping outside their comfort zone encourages personal growth. Campers will be learning together, collaborating on projects, and building lasting friendships along the way. These experiences not only boost their confidence but also strengthen essential social skills that will help prepare them for the next school year. If you are eager to see your child connect with others and thrive in a supportive environment, this is the camp for you!
2. Academic Performance
Staying active during the summer has a major impact on emotional and academic success. According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, physical activity directly improves academic performance, and children should get at least 60 minutes of physical activity every day. At our Summer Adventures Camp, we not only meet that recommendation—we exceed it! Through sports, outdoor games, and exciting field trips, our campers stay on the move and engaged all summer long. Camp days also feature reading and math activities designed to keep our campers' minds sharp and prevent learning loss that can happen during the summer. These consistent activities improve concentration, strengthen memory, and build the self-confidence they will need to thrive when school starts again.
3. Nature Appreciation
At our camp, every day is an adventure packed with discovery and exploration. Campers will visit Jetty Island and Mukilteo Beach, encounter fascinating reptiles up close, and dive deep into the wonders of nature. From learning about volcanoes and rocks to the mysteries of outer space, they’ll explore the world in exciting, hands-on ways that spark curiosity. Say goodbye to summers spent indoors—this is a chance to turn all that new free time into a fun-filled learning experiences and adventures.
I’m so excited to spend the summer with the amazing NCA kids during our Summer Adventures Camp! There’s nothing better than watching their faces light up with joy as we dive into fun activities, explore new things, and make unforgettable memories together. I’m especially looking forward to the moments we’ll spend learning about Jesus and growing in our faith—it’s going to be such a meaningful and joy-filled summer!
