Exploring an Independent Study Program at NCA

NCA pursues excellence in all things. Our leadership is committed to continuous improvement, assessing our current programs, researching best practices, and evaluating our effectiveness. We regularly receive requests to explore ways we can expand our current programming.

To that end, we have begun researching the possibility of launching an independent study program at Northshore Christian Academy. NCA is hosting a series of focus groups to invite feedback from families who are currently choosing independent and home school educational experiences for their children. The goal is to better understand the strengths and shortcomings of the current programs available in our area.

Factors that contribute to our interest to explore this possibility:

• • The progressive legislative climate of our state is increasingly hostile to a biblical worldview and traditional values
  • Real, physical constraints of full classes of our current programs, thus preventing the possibility of partnering with more families
  • A creative solution to expand our programs, offering a high school independent study program through Northshore Christian Academy

Our leaders will take us through a process to invite feedback, open dialogue, and discussions on your experiences with independent & home school programs. Please invite any of your friends who are like-minded and may be interested in participating. Light snacks and refreshments will be available, and we will do a drawing for a $50 amazon gift card at each of the focus groups.
