On this Veterans Day, we here at Northshore Christian Academy wanted to take a moment to pause and honor Veterans. We are so grateful for those who have/or currently are putting their lives on the line to serve our Nation. We also wanted to take a moment to share something quite special that NCA has started implementing as a normal practice. Here, we believe that excellence isn’t just measured in things like academics or athletics—it’s woven into every flag waved and every step taken here on campus. One of the most vibrant expressions of this commitment is NCA's new Color Guard program, where both discipline and faith come together in powerful harmony.

I had the honor of getting to spend some time with Mr. Kroeze, one of our 5th-grade teachers, who spearheads this new tradition at our school. I love his heart, and our entire school's heart, behind this beautiful ceremonial act. Here is what Mr. Kroeze shared with me:
First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.--1 Timothy 2:1-4
Color Guard at Northshore Christian Academy isn’t just a ceremonial event for our students—it’s an expression of worship, a training ground for leadership, and a celebration of our Heavenly Father's love for us and our Nation. In every flag raised, students are learning to glorify God with all their heart, and to be grateful for those who have served our Country!
