Announcing our New Lower Elementary Assistant Principal!

We are thrilled to introduce a familiar face in our community as the new Lower Elementary Assistant Principal at Northshore Christian Academy - Mrs. Heather Sidenquist!

Mrs. Sidenquist has been a cherished member of the Northshore family for the past 16 years, faithfully serving in a variety of roles, including preschool teacher, K–2nd grade teacher, 2nd grade team lead, and divisional mentor. Her rich background in early childhood education, coupled with her unwavering dedication to our mission, makes her an exceptional addition to our leadership team.

Beyond her work at NCA, Mrs. Sidenquist brings experience from her earlier roles as a Recreation Leader with Shoreline Parks and Recreation (2000–2012), where she also directed and counseled at preschool summer camps. She also served as an Educational Assistant and Activities Coordinator at King’s Elementary School (2003–2009), further strengthening her understanding of holistic child development.

In 2018, she earned her master’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Phoenix, deepening her expertise in teaching and leadership.

Over the years, Mrs. Sidenquist has developed a strong and effective partnership with Mrs. Leighow, our Lower Elementary Principal. Their collaboration, built on mutual respect and complementary strengths, will be a true blessing to our students, teachers, and families.

Mrs. Sidenquist believes deeply in the sacred calling of Christian education. In her words:

“The role of a Christian educator in today’s world is immensely important. It is imperative that we shape our instruction with a Christian worldview so that students understand the fundamentals of how and why God created the universe, the fall, and the redemption through Jesus Christ.

Through understanding the basic principles of Christianity, students will accept Jesus into their hearts, deepen their relationship with Christ, and develop an appreciation of how much the Father loves them through His plan of salvation. This knowledge base is the foundation for decisions regarding curriculum, teaching practices, and the overall goal of Christian education.”

Message from Mrs. Heather Sidenquist

"I am a passionate Christ-follower who is dedicated to pursuing academic excellence and personal and spiritual growth in our students. I began at Northshore Christian Academy in 2009 and have been incredibly blessed throughout my time by the NCA community of wonderful families and staff. For the past 16 years I have enjoyed teaching and nurturing students to love the Lord while deepening their understanding of who He created them to be.

 

 I have a keen interest in identifying and encouraging students to strengthen the giftings they have received from the Lord. It has been an honor to walk alongside our families and students throughout their Kindergarten, First, and Second Grade years.  

 

This year, the Lord has called me into administration, and I am pleased to serve as the Lower Elementary Assistant Principal. I am thrilled to continue to partner together with our families for the success of each student!"
