Our classes focus on a character. We firmly believe that virtuous character is taught, observed, practiced and caught in action. It is reinforced at NCA through example, lessons, and Chapel awards. That is why we set aside Chapel time to learn and celebrate virtuous character demonstrated in our students. The NCA staff uses our children’s daily experiences to teach character, to point out virtuous choices, and to reflect on the cause and effect of our actions, words, and attitudes.
We know some virtues come naturally and others have to be cultivated and reinforced. We learn from our Heavenly Father’s example of virtuous attitudes and actions. “Lord, may my children always be strong and courageous in their character and in their actions” Deut.31:6
