Our classes focus on a character quality. We firmly believe that virtuous character is taught, observed, practiced and caught in action. It is reinforced at NCA through example, lessons, and Chapel awards. That is why we set aside Chapel time to learn and celebrate virtuous character demonstrated in our students. The NCA staff uses our children’s daily experiences to teach character, to point out virtuous choices, and to reflect on the cause and effect of our actions, words and attitudes.
We know some virtues come naturally and other virtues have to be cultivated and reinforced. We learn from our Heavenly Father’s example of virtuous attitudes and actions. “Lord, may my children always be strong and courageous into their character and in their actions” Deut.31:6
